The concept for ‘The Cans’ is an advertising awards show that celebrates creativity in its purest form, advertising without restrictions. An awards show that focuses on what we’ve seemingly forgotten, the thing that made us fall in love with this industry in the first place… Great ideas! Unlike other awards that enforce rigorous entry criteria. With the Cans, an ad’s a runner only if it hasn’t run. The idea is to reward original thinking, spec ads, un-briefed ideas, concepts for clients you don’t have or campaigns that, for whatever reason, never made it.
